Pentax Newsletter email a waste of time?

What is the point of the Pentax Newsletter being emailed to members. It doesn't contain any News that hasn't already been seen on the right hand side of the main page of the website, along with adverts for other cameras, insurance etc.

If you don't want the newsletter you should be able to unsubscribe to it.

a very slightly, maybe not related quesiton- what's the point of the Classified Ads section?

Why would someone use this over the busy Classified Adverts forum?

Which came first? The Classified Ads section, for which we pay a small fee.

Then the forum section was added as a service to forum members, and it's free.

Both are available still, as some seem to prefer the original. The choice is there, and there's no downside to it.
