I really hope they release it. It is quite a big step up from what canikon offer.

Yea, it would put Pentax right back up there with the "big boys".
It would also kill any hopes I had of eventually picking up a "cheap" 645n, or rather, glass for a cheap 645n.

Don't worry, when the price of the 645D is announced, all those dreamers who picked up 645n's and 645 lenses will realise that they will never be able to afford one unless they win the lottery and sell the stuff off!
