Got one from a member of this site a couple of weeks ago and for the money they normally go for, I think it's a great lens; for free, it's stupendous!
Seems to be sharp and contrasty to me, as well as nicely made and very compact.
I've noticed a bit of purple fringing when shooting through tree branches on bright days, but lots of lenses old and new will do that - and it's probably not the kind of use you'd normally put a fast short tele lens to (given that's what it is on APS-C) so not really an issue. Wonder what else is in the box!

All she could tell me was that there was lots of old prime lenses a pentax 35mm body, and a 645 body and some lenses for that.

It's a cracking lens when you get to grips with manual focusing mines pin sharp and cost me all of ten quid. If you have a 20mm or wider in the selection and if you want a sale for it pm me Im looking for something of that range to complete my selection.

Here we go this is what I've found in the box so far, and it's hugh....
645N body
and the 645 lenses are as follows these are the details straight of the lenses so,
Pentax A 645 1:3.5 150mm
Pentax P FA 645 macro 1:4 120mm
Pentax A 645 1:2.8 55mm
Also a Pentax K for 645 lens adaptor.

I haven't even look at the 35mm lenses yet as this thing is amazing.

You'll be wanting this page: link (password is "Pentax" - case sensitive).
The main advantage of different backs is that you can have different types of film loaded into each (say ISO100 colour slide in one, ISO400 black & white print in another, etc) and swap between them as neccessary - no need to finish a roll and no need for wasteage. It's something we take for granted with digital but almost impossible with 35mm film (unless you owned a Rollei 3003 like I did - selling that was my biggest photographic regret).
Still, my offer of £100 is always open...

Actually, I'll eat some of my words there: The 645 doesn't allow for mid-roll changes, the two backs are for different film lengths (one for 120 film, one for 220 film) - mea culpa!
