Yes, it is a very nice site, and a lot more mature than Canon's.
About the manual lenses... indeed there is no functional limitations; one can shoot at any aperture and still get a nicely exposed picture. What really is limited is the usability: having to press a button every time I change the aperture on the lens is not my idea of practical...

I am sorry, but the only item that I can agree with in this thread so far is that Pentax’s digiichi website is MATURE but so is the information it contains. It has been available for several weeks now but 3 of the 6 main sections of the site are still only headings – coming soon. It is meant to be dedicated to providing information for Pentax digital SLR’s but one of the three sections that are available is an incomplete pictorial history of film SLR’s!
I cannot agree with you and I think it is a very poor web site and does not show Pentax in a very good light at all. They have just released the DS2 but not a mention of it! All of the information seems to have been cobbled together from other sources with just a few good images added to make it look good. Come on Pentax, you have got to do better than this.
Why I am having a moan, what about the front page of PentaxUser (this site). The page initially describes the silver DS then 3 parts of the way down the page you find that for some unknown reason you are reading about the Optio50! I would guess that this page was also cobbled together with little thought or have I missed a heading somewhere?
What do others think?

The has been available a while and there really isn't anything great about it. Sorry fellas.
You would think an organisation like Pentax would have something FULLY working before publishing. Bad project management if you ask me - but you're not are you.
This site has more information than Pentax. I'll be moving to Europe in less than a couple of months and you will see my membership in the mail.

For all of you that said there is nothing great about Digiichi, check out the Japanese version. I don't understand a word as well, but pictures speak louder than them anyway, and we can explore to a certain extent the areas that are not funtional in the English version.

On that site, you can access not only Digiichi, but the special sites of the Pentax *ist DS and Pentax *ist DL. These are (methinks) quite good as a presentation of these cameras to anyone who is choosing a new DSLR to purchase.

A very intersting line I observed on the *istD spec pages.
In principle, the *istD is compatible with FAJ-series lenses and lenses with the “A” (automatic diaphragm control) position. Lenses without the “A” position can be used without limitation by changing custom function settings.[
