According to Photorumors, KP is now shown as discontinued on official Ricoh Japanese site.

Big price jump between KP and new K3III...will be a huge price gulf between K-70 and K3III without a KPII if this is confirmed.

Yep, I think they scheduled it to be discontinued right before the K3 III was due out, in order to maximise sales of the new camera, but of course that's been put back. So currently the only APS-C DSLR Pentax have in production is the K-70...

Does 'in production' mean cameras are coming off the production line right now and 'discontinued' mean 'we've turned the production line off'? Or does 'in production' mean 'we might make another batch some time' and 'discontinued' mean 'we won't be making another batch ever again'? If it's batch production, sales are slow and batches therefore few and far between, then as far as the consumer is concerned there would be little practical difference between 'in production' and 'discontinued' until stocks have run down. And if sales are really slow and stocks healthy, that could take a long time...

hello, the K70 is 5 years old, and the KP 4 years old, I am still on the KS-2 and wondering what to upgrade to. I don't know if FF makes sense as i have mostly DA lenses (i think, can't even remember what i have).
