Pentax K20D

My annual trip to the UK/Europe is forthcoming, so I am having another clearout...

Pentax K20D body in excellent condition with two batteries (1 original/1 Innov8 ). Shutter count 13,179. Boxed with cds & manual.

The one blemish is a crack on the viewfinder. However, this makes no difference in use whatsoever, as it is invisible when you put your eye to the viewfinder which appears as normal. I don’t even know how/when it happened (probably when travelling by plane) as because it is invisible in use it took me a while to notice it. I guess it would be easy to replace with another s/h focusing screen which I understand are widely available. However, I never bothered and used the camera like this for two years until I got my K5. It only makes a difference cosmetically, none in use. Other than this the body is perfect – including the rear-LCD which has a plastic protector on it (see pics).

Bearing in mind the cracked viewfinder I’m offering this as a potential bargain for someone at £240 inc. P&P (RM Recorded signed for)







In case anyone is wondering what the thing is on the lower left corner of the rear LCD, it's a tear in the stick-on plastic screen protector. The LCD underneath it is pristine.

I will be in the Macclesfield area and possibly in Glasgow in late June/early July. So if people want to see the item and they live close by this will be possible. If sent by post, the items will be dispatched on 29th June. On the off chance that someone in Greece is reading this, I will be in the Mani in July.

Having researched K20D prices further, I've concluded that perhaps £220 is fairer what with the viewfinder issue. Though I must stress that this camera will perform just as any other K20 in use - I used it like this for 2 years.

Am a bit surprised that noone's bitten. This gets you a fully functional K20D, with a low shutter count, at a £40-50 discount on the current going rate. Believe me, the viewfinder crack makes absolutely no difference in use and apart from this the camera is in excellent condition. You will barely even notice the crack cosmetically - as mentioned above, I didn't even observe it until sometime after it happened.
