As A few of you will know, I have recently acquired a rather rare lens, as the title suggests.

I took it out into the yard today for a try out. I am quite impressed with it, very sharp and excellent colour rendition.

What do you think. The last one was shot wide open.

The lens looks very sharp and the bokeh is smooth, just what a prime should be.

How does it compare to the 35Ltd?

Colour rendition is nice with this lens. I have one and like all the K and M lenses is a joy to use.

Nice looking shots indeed. I have been keeping an eye on various websites for this lens to no avail so far. Rather good for what is essentially a free lens!

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Thanks guys, I think I will keep this lens, the colours are fantastic, and if I have to compare it with the DA 35mm macro I would say sharpness is better on the DA and contrast on the 30mm is a tad better.

Your right Kris, it was basically free, sometimes you can be lucky I suppose
If I ever decide to sell it, you can have first refusal.

BTW, My DA 15mm f4 finally arrived today after 4 weeks of waiting. Its a long weekend here and i'm off down the coast for some trail riding and I hope to get some good shots with it, taking the 30mm K, as well as all my ltds (no zooms) Should be a lot of fun and drinking
