To be honest I haven't looked for quite a while. The reason why not is very mundane though - most of my web pictures are made 1000 pixels wide and the PPG specifies 900 pixels. It just makes it a nuisance to have to make another version of every image. Plus it was taking far too long for them to actually appear.
Best regards, John

I haven't looked for a while and have never posted on the site. The two Pentax forums and Ephotozine are all I can realistically manage and they provide plenty of great images to look at.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I still post pictures on PPG but I don't think you're restricted to 900 pixels wide John. They like 'em bigger than that and I think 900pxiels high is the minimum size they will accept.
Like Alan I vote thumbs up for only a minority - but that's the way it should be. This is after all an international salon of sorts and PPG themselves will want it this way.
It is now taking a lot longer before you get results on your submissions - around six weeks.

I added some pictures about 9/10 weeks ago but took it about 5/6weeks to get them on there. I visited every few days after my submission to see if they had been accepted and on each visit voted. I agree with the quality of submissions though and found that out of the 60/70 I reviewed at each visit, I only gave a positive vote to a couple of shots each time

This may well have changed, but I do remember images being rejected at the upload stage for exceeding that 900 pixel figure. If they have updated that then it's a good move to do so.

They now reject them if they are smaller than that John - they just won't upload. I submit far larger pictures and I think when they are too large they automatically resize them.

Thanks for the comments, I had a feeling people had gone off it a bit simply due to the reduced standard of submissions, looks like I may be right.
I did take a looks at yours David and did note a few I'd not seen.
I may give it a go again if I can get my photo mojo back.

Does anyone bother with the Pentax Gallery anymore? (not the one connected with this forum)
The reason I ask is I just had a quick look and decided to do a bit of voting, I know folks on here weren't pleased with the way the gallery was going some time ago, but the standard of submissions seems to have hit an all time low, I must have browsed 50 or more images and only gave the thumbs up to a couple.
