Why go to the expense of not only buying a n***n (expletive deleted), but the additional cost of replacing all your glassware too?
I don't know your budget, but I own a very nice Kr - so nice, in fact, that Mrs 9761 has gone back to Thailand to visit her family with it!!
When it comes to sticking with Pentax, I'm sure you won't take much persuading!!

Is that the same as saying the Pentax lenses won't work on NIkon?

I've never heard of a lens converter like that you seek - that's not to say there isn't one, it's just that they are probably so rare and so expensive (in relative terms) that makes it cost effective to stick with the Pentax.
I just done a quick search online for a lens converter. The search results seem to suggest that there is such a device that will allow a Nikon lens to be mounted onto a Pentax body, but not the other way around.

From the link above you can put M, K and M42 (via another adapter) using them in manual aperture mode. DA lenses will not stop down or autofocus. Will they focus correctly at infinity, I wonder?

Forget it they have an extra (cheap) glass element in the
adapter which will effect image quality.

The most efficient thing to do is no doubt look at newer Pentax DSLRs.
Unless there's some major damage that makes it uneconomic, the K10D might well be repairable though?

You can buy adaptor for Canon but the lenses might still need additional "surgery" - I think that is as close you'll get. Second hand prices for Pentax lenses are good though, and so is the K-5 imo.

Why can't you say NIKON? Nikon make great cameras, as do Pentax and many others.

I don't doubt it, but this is a PENTAX users' site. Why give free advertising to a rival company?

I don't see how lowercase, with stars, is providing any less advertising than using the full name..
Yes, this is a Pentax site.
But it's only coutesy to use a competitors proper name.

Don't worry guys, you can say Nikon, Canon, Olympus or anything else, but let's keep to the subject?
