Pentax Film Cameras - ME F Auto Focus SLR 35mm camera and PC35 AF Camera

I am slowly selling my collection of early autofocus cameras and I have these two Pentax models available.

The Pentax ME-F was the first autofocus SLR camera to reach production and this one is in excellent working condition. It is complete with the 35-70mm AF lens + ME II Winder.

The Pentax PC35 AF was the first Pentax 35mm compact camera with autofocus released in about 1982.

I have them on eBay at £325 and £29.99 respectively but I would be glad if they went to PENTAXUSER members and would be happy to negotiate privately.

Is that a typo of 325 gbp?!

Why do you think it is a typo? The ME F with the original 35-70 AF lens in excellent condition is a fairly rare beast. The lens on its own can fetch a lot (I can find two on eBay at present, one for £200 and one for £507 - both from Japan so plus about 30% for import duty and VAT). Really only collectors would be interested but I am sure that there are some on the PENTAXUSER site. Also, I am open to offers!

MEF bodies are fairly rare, especially those with working AF sensors. Some photographers with poor eyesight find thely useful to help with manual focussing on a 'properly built' camera body. The lenses are even rarer (especially working ones). These are definitely only of interest to collectors. The lens is also the fastest M series standard zoom with a constant f/2.8 aperture.

I have both the body and the lens, mine are not for sale, they are of historic importance.

I got a MEF + AF 35-70 lens last year. Great bit of kit and indeed of historical significance not just for Pentax but SLR cameras. For a 40 year old beast I didn't think the autofocus was bad at all.

I've got the body. Nearly got the lens for a song a while back but missed out.

Still regret it!
