hey, I know some of you guys are not mathematically challenged like me.... and some of you guys are cronic measurebaters... (kidding of course)
so I'm hoping you guys can help me out here....

I've been seeing a new pentax camera in my dreams....
sort of a pro orientated 4/3 system on steroids....

a pentax 645-d sized sensor maybe, in a smaller body, no mirror, that fits pentax full frame lenses....
it looked like the old fuji 645 rangefinder, in my dreams....

is that even conceivable it could work with existing ff 35mm lenses?
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Well they have taken out a patent on two 4/3rds lenses......

I hope they don't go copying everybody else on the 4/3 system... I'd be happy to see a kx with fixed pelicile mirror and a leaf shutter lens....
but the idea of a big sensor, kmount hefty sized 4/3 styled camera would surely be unique and sellable would it not?

This could only happen in dreams.
The register distance (distance from lens to sensor) must be the same or else you lose some focus range. Since the register distance must be the same that means the image the lens make is too small to cover the whole sensor.

The best you can do is specially make lenses for it and use an adaptor so that you can use 645 or 67 lenses.

Yeah found it http://egami.blog.so-net.ne.jp/2010-06-18

It's dated 2008 though so maybe just a patent?

That's what I said Stefan. No indications they'll ever make them.
