Anyone know if mounting Pentax FA and A lenses on a Canon EF mount is possible? I'm keen to try my collection of FA Ltd's on a Canon Full Frame body...

Yes but not without modification to lens and/or camera. The aperture lever needs to be ground down on the lens, and on some FF Canons (5D iirc?) the mirror has to be shaved.

Several people have done this to use Pentax lenses on FF Canons but I'm not sure I'd want to damage either if they were mine. The APS Canons can use a straightforward adapter (smaller mirror in relation to the size of the mount) as can all the EVIL cameras, but then you're not really gaining anything in IQ but you will lose functionality of the lens.

Yup, full frame bodies will require the mirror shaved to use some lenses where the rear element protrudes into throat of the camera.

The mflenses forum has lots of people mad enough to do that sort of thing.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Check out Ricehigh's blog he uses Pentax lenses on Canon bodies and I think he has a list of what works and what doesn't.

Cheers Gents... sounds like an awful lot of pain for not enough gain! Shame...
