Thanks Dave for posting some your landscape shots with this lens - I've not used it for any real distance shots yet, but it's clear from your photos it will be a winner

You make it even rarer...
I'll sell one of them fairly soon - I'm just going to spend a bit of time comparing them (I've got a thing about lens sample variations at the moment )

When I bought my *istD in Tokyo - before they were available here, I did not need a lens as I initially planned to use the 24-90 that I already had with me.

The camera store I purchased from had an "affinity card" and the purchase of the body (at a great price) meant that I had enough points to get the 20-35 for about 800Yen (£5) ... that gave me enough points (based on full lens price) for a memory card, followed by a bag ...

I used it on that trip - Tokyo, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Bangkok on both the *istD and MZ-S, interchanging with the 24-90 and a 70-210.

I was very impressed with the results - at that time but there are better lenses now. The optical quality is average to good, and build quality, the same.

My daughter successfully used it for her A-level photography course and I still use it occasionally when I want a lightweight set up - K20D (no grip)and 20-35.

For a £5 lens it is extremely good value!

If anyone is interested I am selling one of my copies of this lens, I will formally list it in the FS secion in due course, but as a "heads up" it is very good condition, boxed, with caps and Pentax matched hood.

Price is £345 inc RMSD and I will only post to the UK.
