I have the chance to buy the above lens from a seller in Australia for just over £500 including insured shipping.
Has anyone had any dealings with the lens and if so what was your thoughts on it?
Also, is this a fair price.?

Thanks.

Edit reason : I can't spell.

It's an absolutely superb lens and worth every penny. I don't think I've seen one go for much less than that second hand. Do bear in mind you'll be paying import duties and VAT on top of the £500 though.

I have one and it is excellent. Same optically as the FA*, but with a good detachable tripod mount/handle, which is very useful.

I paid around £400 three years ago, but given the resurgence of Pentax I don't think £500 is a bad price.

IT is a differnet optical design: slightly slower aperture of course, but much closer focus (2m rather than 4) and autofocus if you should want it. The built-in tripod mount improves handling over the earlier (and later) versions.
