As title really, any rumours regarding a potential Pentax EVIL camera?
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

I'd be happy if they just took the mirror out of a kx, added a pelicile mirror, added a mic jack, added a heat synch to the sensor, and an articulated lcd to it and called it a day. just keep the regular k mount. a couple more all plastic versions of classic Pentax primes would be nice as well.

other than that there is little else for rumors except for Ned Bunnel using the word "When" not "IF" in a statement a while back....
It wouldn't be the smallest evil, but it would have the biggest lens selection of all.... no adaptor required...
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

You do know that 50% of the light doesn't reach the sensor because of the pelicile mirror.
For outdoor it would do but indoors it certainly has an impact

I'm thinking with an all glass pentaprism, good high iso speed and a 25% silvered mirror you are essentially dropping the base Iso from 200 to 125 or so.... I could live with that.
the viewfinder would work ok for outdoor use and the lcd for low light situations.

The split with Sony pellicle-mirror cameras is 70% to sensor and 30% to electronic viewfinder.

I wonder if photochromic glass with a light silver coating would work as a pelicile mirror....
built in nd filter for outdoor use....

And the Sony models which have it apparently suffer from crippling ghosting issues too.
