Unfortunately Pentax has not made the correct file available in the download. V4.35 is what you get.

On Pentax Canada, the version 4.40 is available.

Now that you mention it, Peter - I thought it was slightly strange that after I d/l'ed the update, I was offered the modify/repair/remove feature. An update normally overwrites whatever's in the program file with the updated file.

Over to you, Pentax!!...

The cunning Japanes have only put the file for v4.40 on the JAPANESE language page ! As you said, the English language page gives you v4.35 again !

I found the following help posted by 'AUDIOBOMBER' on the US Pentax Forums :-

"The Japanese version is correctly loaded with 4.40. That's the one you want. You will find it here. PENTAX Digital Camera Utility 4?Windows???????????????????????????????????PENTAX RICOH IMAGING
Don't worry about the language, it allows you to choose. Mine defaulted to English."

Scroll down the page from Nigel's guide to the posting by 'Audiobomber' and you will find the link !

I followed this and if you scroll down the Japanese language page as you did on the English page and then hit the LEFT button it all works OK and I am now running v4.40
