I did break and offered the £345, but now I learn someone 'beat me to it'.
Seems being first to reply wasn't first enough!

True.
I was just a bit surprised because the seller hadn't said anything when he first opened my PM asking for bank details (ie when it moved from Outbox to Sentbox). If he had already sold it, it would have been nice to have known so that I could have stopped ring-fencing 'his' £345.
But, as I said above, no hard feelings. There could have be many innocent reasons why he could read but not reply to PMs for a few hours.
