@Harlequin: please reply, as a queue is forming, and I want to avoid being accused of being a gazumper

My thanks to the members who expressed interest, and in particular to LennyBloke to whom the lens is sold.
Incidentally, in case anyone is looking for an as-new carbon fibre tripod, I shall be offering mine for sale soon, as it was meant for use with the DA*200 principally.

The perils of being out all day without internet access. Congratulations to Lenny

Lens picked up from the Post Office last night - looks every bit as good as Duncan described it and was very well packed. I'm hoping to give it a try out at the weekend (particularly with a recently acquired matched converter that I haven't had a chance to use), but the quick-click shots indoors seem to show it is as sharp as its reputation
Sorry to Harlequin and Mayday (I know you don't really mean "Thanks" Mayday )
Many thanks to Duncan - a great guy to deal with

Thanks for ^that^ Lenny. It has been really pleasant and straightforward dealing with you and I'm very glad to hear that all has gone as satisfactorily from your point of view as it has from mine. I'm sure you'll be even more impressed by the lens once you put it through its paces fully- here's wishing you great results with it

I bought this ultimate quality lens (pics below) new approximately 18 months ago.
I am the original and only owner.
I have found that I don’t use it much in my general landscape type of photography, and have decided therefore to move on.
It'll suit someone who goes in for longer focus work. (This focal length is equivalent to a focal length of 300mm in 35mm format.)
It is unmarked and virtually perfect both cosmetically and optically.
It has the latest type of SDM (focus) motor: it was occasionally hesitant to settle firmly on focus, so I sent it to JPS ( Johnson Photopia, the official Pentax service agents) for a check-over under warranty last November, and they replaced its SDM motor with the most recent type, and re-calibrated the lens.
Since I got it back with the new motor, it has positively zipped onto focus every time, cleanly and efficiently.
I paid about £600 for it, and the current price seems to be at least £860. It is complete with lens-hood, box, pouch, etc.
The price I am asking is £450, plus cost of delivery.
