This lens has a wonderful creamy bokeh, and is also incredibly sharp when stopped down. Best of both worlds! Imagine a lens with the smooth bokeh of a Pentax-A 50/1.4 and the sharpness of a Pentax-A 50/1.7 - this is that lens
This is sometimes called the 'K' version as in Pentax-K 50mm f1.2. It's in excellent condition (possibly even 'mint', although I will restrain myself
Glass is in excellent condition, no scratches or other marks that I can see. The aperture ring moves smoothly and quickly, and there is no oil or other marks on the 8 blades. The blades are in perfect alignment, so when stopped down the aperture is a perfect octagon.
Comes with original rear cap and original front cap. Sorry for lack of photo of front cap, it is in my box of camera bits which I don't have here.
Also includes an after-market matte black metal circular hood which is a perfect match for the matte black metal of the lens (and looks pretty damn cool to boot). I will also include a tethered pinch-style lens cap which fits the hood so you don't have to remove the hood to store the lens. I haven't noticed any vignetting with this hood when using this lens on a DSLR. It will almost certainly vignette on a film camera. The tether is merely tied on to the lens body, there is no adhesive or anything like that.
A version of this lens without hood recently went for £300 on a best offer on ebay, so taking into account ebay/paypal's cut I'm looking for £275 net to me. How you pay me is up to you, as long as I get £275 at the end of the day
Some pics (please excuse the shoddy WB
Here are a couple of photos taken with this lens:
