don't know what "porch set" means... could only guess demo model?

what's the £20 "fees" you mention and how did you ascertain the duty and VAT? Is it a percentage of the sale price listed on a customs site somehwere?

IRMC duty on lens imports is around 6% plus VAT at 20% on the whole shippment cost (that includes VAT on the postage cost too) plus approx £20 fees added by the shipping company/Royal Mail for handiling and collecting VAT and duty.

possibly a posing porch...

pouch? perhaps

Could mean pouch ...

1. ポーチ = porch
2. ポーチ = pouch

Still not such a bargain when you can get a brand new one from Wales for £379 ...

i know but i suppose if you have a contact in japan or live there it's a great deal. just putting it out there...
