This gives interesting results and is a bit faster than the 55-300mm, but because of its size, I haven't used much.
As you well know, this is a medium format lens, with a Pentacon 6 mount that has been adaptaded to M42 (as is common). Afaik, P6 can be adapted to any modern DSLR mount, since its registration distance is far greater.

Together with the similar (equal ?) Meyer Optik and a less often seen Hanimex, this is the 300mm F4 lens at the lowest price.

Because its medium format, the lens is large and heavy (~2.1kg). I have been able to take handheld photos with without to much hassle, but clearly this is made for monopod/tripod. Thats why it comes with an incorporated tripod colar, with an adaptor for standard (3/4 ?) screw, but allows even larger ones.

The lens was bought at Cameratiks, in Edimburgh. I guess it was them that have repainted some bits of the lens (please see photos).

The body is in good shape generally. It has some small scratches, and some paint loss from rubbing. All expected with age.

The glass has no scratches that I can see, nor coating loss.

The lens has some dust specks inside, nothing major, hard to photograph. Should not, and as far as I've seen, do not show in the picture.

Here is a view of the lens, on a Manfroto 322RC head.

The quality is quite decent, especially considering the price of the alternatives. The great drawback is the purple fringing, which this lens suffers allot, particularly at F4.

With 19 blades, it lends itself to portraits and other uses of its good bokeh.

You can also check this article on my blog, with some birds pics, most using a 2x tc on top of the lens.

The lens comes with both caps.

Price is £100 shipped to UK (from Portugal).
