Karl, its not Penice but Peniche.
To a person who speaks portuguese that "h" missing in the name turns the term into a very odd sounding name, particularly because the "h" after any "c" in portuguese its pronounced "sh" and without it changes dramatically the pronunciation.
Peniche is a beautiful place in Portugal and people are very proud of how it is pronounced, there is quite an emphasis on the "ch" in the way the name is pronounced, used as "sh"

Amin, it is a typo and I couldn't edit the thread title once posted, I did try.

Nice shots Karl, I particularly like the doors and shadows in the long corridor shot. I also liked the stairwell shot, although the shadow of your lens and the railings is a bit distracting. The railing itself is a nice heavy black though, it looks great!

Thanks Thoughton, I always beef up the blacks and contrast in my B/W conversions.
Actually, I hadn't noticed the lense shadow but now you point it out it is clearly there. I am sure I had removed my lense hood for the flash shots??
