Hi Cosmin,
I hope, I don't hurt your feelings by saying this, but this set of pictures is not working for me. The exceptional high standard (specially your B & W stuff) you show us here normally, is so much better , that I almost thought you didn't take this photographs.Sorry!! The only one of this set that I like, is number 11. And only because I hope you convert it to mono also. Hope you don't mind this harsh comments,
and of course it is just my opinion, but I've seen so much better work from you.
Martin.

Cosmin,
overall I do understand what Martin is getting at and I trust that you see it as an honest critique of a fan of your work.
These are far too many for a detailed C&C on each of them. I think many of the pictures suffer from the post processing (e.g. 21 the area of the sky on the right above the trees has obviously been lightened and doesn't fit the colour of the sky in the middle; trees look artificially brightened. #5 the area between the cables in the front pylon (or whatever they are called) looks darkened and doesn't fit the rest; the upper sky area looks a bit darkened as well)
#1 would have been wonderful without the burned out areas.
Good that you saved #23 for last, I love that one

I suspect the sun was sinking (or rising) behind the trees in #21. That cyan banding is typical of the clipping you get when blue sky is overexposed, but not enough to completely burn it out to white. There's a bit of it too in #18 and #19.(e.g. 21 the area of the sky on the right above the trees has obviously been lightened and doesn't fit the colour of the sky in the middle;
I've ruined many an otherwise good shot by doing that, and I've never figured out how to fix it convincingly after the event.
I like the first and last in this series; I quite like the composition of #2 but not the light (not enough contrast), and the yellow branch in the right foreground is a bit distracting.
There's humour in #11, which I like, but the dog is too close to the edge of the frame to make the most of that.
Overall, I think there are a number of interesting elements (shapes, contrasting colour details) which suggest a lot of good ideas, but the implementation of them seems a little chaotic. My overriding impression (having seen his black and white work, much of which I like very much) is that that colour isn't yet a medium with which Cosmin feels really comfortable.

Thank you for the comments.
The only post-processing was the HDR (&tonemapping)( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging ) which together with landscape photography would be the first time for me doing it (everything was automatic - I just opened the files and the post processing went by itself).
The HDR photos (most of those containing sky) ware made from three differently exposed photos. I could't do use more not having with me a tripod.
Regarding that banding could be a phenomenon seen at a high altitude; I don't know for sure. My brother was with me and his photos too contains it (different camera, different settings, no HDR).
Next time the first to check for will be the filters especially the POL one. Is very importnat mostly because the sky is even more blue at higher altitude

I think Martin that you have perhaps mistaken Cosmin's reasons for posting. Like my recent post on Scotland, I suspect Cosmin was mainly trying to draw our attention to a beautiful part of the world which most of us have never been to.
Cosmin, I think, tends to use b&w for art, and colour for record shots.
I thought the pictures were at worst interesting, and sometimes very good. Number one is a lovely shot.

You are right here G. And after reading Cosmin's reaction/explanation I want to apologize. for the harsh comment. I now see and look at the pictures in another context. But in my defense: When I see a posting in the My Photos section by Cosmin, my heart always start to beat a bit faster in excitement. And this time it was a bit of a disappointment for me.

It was pretty deserted being more a winter destination. I didn't took with me no filters so I did some HDR photos for the first time (same as the landscapes).
The kit lens was used on a K100D except 11,12,15,16,17 for which I used 80-320.
