P67 film loading - Blank first frame?

Hi All,

Things are generally going well with my P67, however after half a dozen rolls a couple have a blank frame at the beginning of the roll (giving only 9 shots). The frame spacing is good and consistent throughout the roll and the other rolls have ten exposures at the same spacing so it must be related to my loading technique.

Is there anything I'm inadvertently doing wrong? I have so far always lined the 'Start' arrows of the film and back, up, although on some occasions this has left the wind lever mid-stroke when I closed the back, could it be connected with this?

If You check the film, remember where is the arrow situated... Use the same film and move arrow a little bit closer to the left... Sometimes, whan You loading film and arrow is just few mm outside the correct position, camera makes only 9 shots.
And You can try load each frame slowly and not in hurry. But his is advice for someone, who´s got tiny space between the frames

To update this thread, I have stopped lining the start marks up exactly and they usually line up in about the right place. Since I've started doing this I haven't had anymore problems.

For what its worth - With 120 film, the film counter continues to count until the backing paper is rolled onto the spool. If I get 10 shots, this happens around number '15', if I get less than 10 shots it seems to happen about '13' or '14'. This might provide warning that the last shot may not have been captured at the time of shooting.
