Branden,
The film rewind crank is on the left. Pull it straight up and the back will pop open.
After you load film , make sure you push it down again.

I'm hoping its a good one, she got it in a bundle with 3 lenses & a flashgun for £35 (equivalent to around $70 USD)

You can download the user manual from here. The password you need is "Pentax" (no quote marks, case sensitive). Good luck!
