Not feeling inspired to take photos at the moment but I did put the GRIII in the rucksack next to the flask of coffee today, didn't even take it out for the first half of the walk but eventually spotted some nice greenery and started shooting.

1. Narnia Lamp and Horse Chestnut

2. Choices: Up or Down?

3. Bluebell Beauties

4. Forcing Ferns

5. Shady Bluebells

6. Canopy of Green

7. Five Trunks

Beautiful shots, really like what you've done with the ferns.
All the gear with no idea

Lovely. They have that LennyBloke feel, which just shows (yet again) that it's the person not the camera that counts.

But taking that thought further, was the true value of the GRIII here not so much the quality of the pictures it can take but in its size persuading you to slip it into the rucksack in the first place?

Steve asks a good question there, (I also agree with his comment, 'it's the person not the camera that counts.')

Super set of photographs. I have the GR111 and the big advantage with this camera is you can easily put it in your pocket (or rucksack) and take it anywhere with you. It's definitely the person, but you do need the camera in the first place!!

I still use the GR1, it lives in its case on my belt and still delivers, I would replace like a shot if it it failed.
Just passing thru

Thanks for the kind comments - and Yes, it is the size that encouraged me to bother taking it with me - but once I'd started "seeing" that's when I wished I'd brought the K1 and DFA21

The GR series cameras are superb, the mkIII being an improvement over previous versions in small but significant ways, the only negative IMO is the lack of weather/dust sealing. My GRII's both suffered from dust on the sensor, it was so frustrating that I almost didn't buy a GRIII

But, keep on going LennyBloke , my GR111 shots are not nearly as good as yours, I love the camera and can learn from you. Thanks.

Thanks for the encouragement broadreach - I'm sure your shots are excellent, and the more we shoot the more we improve
