Outdoor Photography Faux-pas

I checked for this but I can't see a thread on it... but in the August OP they did a macro review and listed which Macro lenses were on offer.....

No Pentax lenses

I've written to the new editor to tell him that the K-mount users were being left out, and he's admitted (after receiving more comments from us Pentax users) that he'd written it in a bit of a hurry. It will be addressed in a future issue

OP is an excellent mag, very well written and the standard of photography is just superb. Photography Monthly and Practical Photography have their ups and downs, but PP in particular is very good at the moment. I think we, in the UK especially, are fortunate to have a fantastic selection of photography magazines.

I too wrote him regarding the missing macro lenses, as well as the DSLR Listings section at the back showing incorrect 'Web Prices' (now pretty much corrected - they always used to be SRPs) and in the same section the incorrect feature listings for the Pentax cameras (exposure modes, file types etc). Chased him up about that this month too, when I wrote to him regarding the Nikon 105mm macro lens test. That letter may well be printed next month.

He seems like a very nice bloke - had a bit of an email exchange, and I promised to write to him about Pentax every month.

OP is the only mag I subscribe to now, gave up on the others a long time ago.

Oops!

I thought that was refering to outdoor macro photography!

Beer on the brain I'm afraid!
Cheers, HG
