Barrie Forbes and myself represented the PUF when Durham Photographic Society held the monthly assignment at the Ouseburn area in Newcastle's East End on Saturday. It was freezing cold but with bright winter sun to bring out the colour and textures in this once run down industrial area.

Nice set David. Particularly like the last one.

If I'd known you were there I'd have said hello. I popped across to see Barrie.

First time I've spent any length of time down there. Plenty of potential

Agree with Alan on the last one but particularly like the second one too.

An area that I would like to try sometime as well as night shots of the bridges in Newcastle - one day I will make it up there.

I like these - especially the 'home sweet home' pic, and the last one - that blue sky is brilliant

3 and 4 for me, Great detail in 'Home sweet home' and I like the perspective with 'Metro bridge' the blurry train crossing it makes the shot for me.

Lol I noticed that as well as you scroll down the page the image seems to get closer! a coincidental effect!! that earns you an extra point Barry

A nice set love the first one, the building has stark contrast with its surrounding imo.

I find in interesting that you can get a group of people with cameras in the same place and the results can be so much different with a different feel to them.
love the Home Sweet Home one and find a way .

Nice ones Barrie. I like the juxtaposition between the Byker Wall and the church steeple in #1.
You're right about the yellow rivets on the bridge over the Ouseburn. I tried getting a graphic shot out of it but couldn't get the compo right. Glad you pulled it off.
