Nice shots of some nice metal
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Cheers. Despite taking probably more than a thousand photos over the weekend, it's always difficult to pick a range - I've got loads of very similar shots where only the car varies. I guess that's the process, though - once I took that 356 from the higher banking, I liked the viewpoint and took loads from the same place.

Nice to see you briefly at the weekend, Mike, and sorry that we didn't have time to exchange more than a quick 'hello'. They turned out to be three busy days.

There's some nice panning here, but I particularly like the 356 shot. I presume that's from the bank looking towards the Knickerbrook exit/Clay Hill approach. I stopped there briefly en route to the first chicane, but didn't take any shots. More fool me.

I still have hundreds of images to process, but will doubtless post a few in due course...

Thanks Simon, I did wonder if you were there for the weekend or just that one day.

It was on the banking just after the bridge, which had the added bonus of tree cover for shelter from the light rain on Monday. I noticed they've added some extra banking for the general public - just to the other side of that bridge on the infield has been built up, and another part I've forgotten about.

I have ended up with a lot of pan shots, but still trying to practice getting more of the car in focus, with some reasonable success and some spectacular failures, but I'm better at deleting those now. My main disappointment with the rally stage was a lack of anywhere to get a decent pan shot, so most of mine look quite static as a result.

I look forward to seeing your shots when you post them.

Cheers. Weather was reasonable, really - dry for Saturday and Sunday, then light rain on and off for Monday. But it's been much worse over previous years.
