Very interesting set, thanks for posting. There's lots of activity from spray and smoke, giving the images the life that's so often missing from racing shots. A great sense of movement and action throughout.
Best regards, John

Agree with John here Simon - the 'foul weather' shots work particularly well.
Hope your Sigi recovers.

I wont look then
All good Simon, you did well in what looked like terrible conditions, the shot of the mini is my number 1 choice, how did that driver squeeze in?
C&C welcome.

Another great set Simon. It's obvious that your ability to get the shot or to find a great caption to go with it hasn't waned over the winter. Looking forward to seeing more as the season progresses.

Echo the above comments on another fine and varied set.
Resistance is futile !
I'd quite happily look at a album every weekend !
Regards
George

A strong set that showcases the action ... No 5 has good lighting, lucky to catch a bit of sun there! No 8 is my other favourite for its right crop and the spray. I imagine the photographers weather resistance is just as important as the cameras!

Thanks, all, for the words of encouragement.
@ Nigel: yes, I was properly weather-proofed - just wish I'd extended my Sigma 50-150 the same courtesy. It still isn't working...
@ George: thanks for the tip-off - I supplied a few shots to MSV (which manages Oulton), but didn't expect them to appear quite so quickly in the public domain.
This weekend I'm preparing for two days at Thruxton and one at Oulton Park, Obviously...

Nice to see some shots of Oulton -- last time I visited was for the Thunder-sports back in 87! I have just upgraded (its in the post) to a K5_11 & interestingly decided on purchasing the weather resistant 18-135mm lens - looks like it may have been a good decision.
Here is a pic of Eddie Irvine (Formula Ford) leaving everyone behind in 87 (Pentax Prog A with SMC 75-150mm lens):
