Optio S40 Mains Adapter

My user manual quotes D-AC5 for a mains adapter, to download to pc or show on tv. Carrying case for S40 is quoted as O-CC16. Are these still available to buy??? A Google search shows AC adapter type KAC5E for S40, at Pixmania, and Pentax nylon case 50501 for S50.
Please advise if both of these arew compatible with my S40.
Also, when out taking pics, 2 normal AA batteries last about 5 minutes! What is the best type of battery to use??

I don't know about the availability of cases and adapters but you can safely use rechargeable NiMH batteries.
Go for the highest capacity you can get your hands on - at least 2000mAh!
Uniross are widely available, perform well, are reasonably priced and can often be bought together with a suitable charger.
