Optio S4 firmware

Hi,

I'm having the same problem as many others --> my Optio S4 won't start up.

I didn't drop it nor have any problem with liquids. I was just using the camera normally and it stopped functioning. I switch it on and the on/off button lits up, but nothing else happens. The display doesn't switch on, I don't hear any sounds, the lens doesn't even try to open up. It's simply like the camera is still attached to the computer. In fact, when I connect the camera to my computer, I can still access the photos on the card.

I know this has been asked before, but can anyone provide me/us with the Optio S4 firmware? I know there's one (the one that the support guys use to solve these issues), and I'm pretty sure that this problem is solve by "resetting" the camera by reinstalling its firmware.

If there's someone from Pentax reading this forum: Please help us!!! Releasing the firmware to the public would help us a lot! And it won't hurt Pentax at all!

P.S.: I've already called the customer support center here in Spain and they told me that they don't even have the firmware themselves. Support is given by some third party company, and they suck I had the classical answer: "send it in, we'll look into it". I just don't want to wait a lot of time+waste a lot of money+receive a bad reply! I could solve this problem myself if I had the firmware!
