Optio A10 lens operation.

Just got an A10 after my Optio S packed in.

When the lens extends on start up & when it retracts on shutdown it feels very "lumpy" & "notchy" unlike the S which was very smooth.

Anyone any comments as to smoothness or otherwise of the A10 & whether I may have a problem?
