Optio 50 L Raw mode

I have had the above camera for several years, and until last week it hasn't missed a beat. However it has now stored one image as .RAW, rather than jpeg. I didn't think it could do this. However, how do I open it. PS Elements will open it as greyscale, and the image is there, but not in colour.

Anyone any suggestions as to what raw converter to try?

RAW is not specified as a feature for that camera, so it would be strange it's really a RAW file. And I wouldn't expect any RAW converter to support it if it was a system RAW file that somehow got out.

Have you tried renaming it as ".JPG"?
