Optio 33L

I have recently accquired a 33L as a first step into digital photograhy. I have been impressed by the build and image quality. Particular like is the rotating LCD panel - dislike the lack of an optical viewfinder.

What have others thought about this camera?

They were two of my first impressions. I don't like the plastic feel compared with other Optios either, but the funky menu control on the LCD and the range of features is excellent. I also like the ultra fast way to get exposure compensation and the fact it darkens and lightens the image so you can see exactly what effect the compensation will give. The slow shutter speed is restricting, especially as I wanted to do some infrared shots and it couldn't handle the necessary exposure produced by the almost opaque IR filter.
