Optio 33L, driver error code 2+3

I have bought an Optio 33L and I'm now trying to install the driver on my computer. I have tried as well the CD as a download. Every time I get either the message "Copy Inf.exe: Failed SetupCopy OEMInf Error code 3" or the message "Uninstall.dll Failed RegOpenKeyEx Error code 2". I can NOT make my computer (Windows XP) detect the camera, no matter what I try. Can anyone help, please!!!!!

Just buy a USB card reader. It's far easier, and doesn't require this pointless software.
