Hi,

i found some other topics on memory card problems on this forum and they were helpfull till a certain point. Because of these topics i've already tried some solutions, but with no luck.

Now, what is my problem:
When I take pictures, I can just take them, but at a random point, my camera sais 'memory card error' now, i thought this was a problem of my CF card, because it is pretty old (128MB 3years old) and maybe out of his life time (I was told memory cards can only be written for a certain amount of times ...)

now, what i tried is:
to reformat the card -> no luck
I've bought a now CF card of 256MB -> no luck, after a random number of pictures I get the same error
I have also a CF card for my PDA (HP Ipaq 2210) and this one is 512MB -> no luck either, after (again) a random number of pictures the same error popups...

I don't know anymore what else I can trie, nothing works and every memory card that I've tried works on other camera's and my ipaq 2210 (for GPS and so on...)

I've got a Pentax Optio 330, and I bought it several years ago (I even don't remember the year...) but it was in the beginning that this model came in the shops ...

has anybody else got still any ID?

thx for the help (and sorry for my english, but I'm from Belgium so ...)

The fault is clearly in the camera, not with the card.

Digital cameras sometimes behave erratically when batteries are low. Check you have good batteries.

If it's not the batteries, it can only be an intermittent elctronic fault, perhaps as a result of the camera heating up. You should get Pentax to give you a quote for a repair, but as the camera is several years old it will probably be best to buy a new one.
