I know the 283/285 have manual settings, but what else is out there with at least 1/16. 1/4 and full options. Finding it difficult to find any manual flashes (CHEAP and probably old, of course). Don't need the fancy stuff (TTL, P-TTL, Auto, etc.), but so many on ebay don't give a reasonable description of what they can do, so I need to know the model numbers ! Hope u can help [/quote]I use a Sunpak Auto36DX. In manual you can adjust the output from full down to 1/16. They do come up on eBay - that's where I got mine. And safe to use on your Pentax DSLR.

Other Sunpak models offer the same facility. If there's a photo of the back of the flash in the listing you can see the slider and associated markings. Good hunting.

Unfortunately, MOST people don't show the back !! It would be a lot easier, and more helpful, if they did

Stu - K10D | DFA 100/2.8 Macro | DA 55-300 | AF-360FGZ |

So much to learn... So little time !

I use the "Ask the Seller" a question facility and if they can't/won't help, then I don't bid.
