No, don't crop it. It is superb as is. I've just seen this on the gallery and put a comment on as I liked it so much.

Agree with DS, definitely do not crop.
An interpretation that comes to my mind, FWIW, is that the closed one is young and 'striving'... and thus contrasts with the more mature open one.
So it needs some space above to 'aspire' to, which I think you've got exactly right.
Very nice indeed - excellent composition, IMO, perhaps do a slightly smaller version that fits on normal sized monitors a bit better.
The only thing I don't like is all the stuff going on with the frame/border. Hate that - to my eye it detracts from the simplicity of the flowers and the strength of the composition.
