Online beginer's tutorial ???

My sister in law has bought a dslr (canon 450d) and she knows nothing about how to use it apart from the fully auto setting. Does anyone know of any free online resource that I can send her to that clearly explains how to use a dslr camera for somebody with no experience at all?

The instruction book, followed by an expanded one in book form, plus any of the hundreds of beginner's photography books.

I really would suggest a good book perhaps from Amazon, plus magazines and working through the tutorials on the provided DVDs/CDs.

Here is an excellent guide, it is suitable for all dslr and you can apply it to most of your shooting needs, i will pm you as its not pentax specific! regards

Thanks for the reply and the PM!

I have been trying to explain to her the concepts of exposure, shutter priority and aperture priority and the benefits of both.
When you also take into account DOF, ISO and metering options there is a lot of info that at first can be confusing and a bit daunting.
