On the Road - Night Time

Hi all... as I mentioned a few weeks back, whilst I've been out touring round the UK/Ireland over the last year or so, I've been putting together various photographic themes based around the places that I've been, and the various things that I have bumped into that have caught my eye along the way. The first set I posted was based around the interiors of the theatres themselves. This set is specifically about one thing you get to see an awful lot of when you're touring: Night Time. Most shows we do will finish around 10pm to 10.30pm, which coincidentally is also one of the best times of day for finding a bit of peace and quiet (er, unless it's a Friday). All Pentax K1, DFA 24-70, 55-300 PLM, FA 24-90, FAJ 18-35, Irix 15mm. 1. Beach signs. Lancing, West Sussex. Very long exposure. 2. Willows over a millpond, river Cam, Cambridge. 3. Cardiff City Centre. Late Summer's evening. 4. Bridge, Edinburgh. Dusk. 5. Doorway, Bristol Temple Meads Station. ISO 10,000, handheld 6. Victorian promenade, Worthing. Summer's evening. 7. Helter Skelter, Sheffield City Centre. 8. Alleyway, Royal Mile, Edinburgh. 9. Christmas Market, Princes Street, Edinburgh. 10. Alleyway detail, Edinburgh. 11. Leaves, Christmas Lights. Edinburgh. 12. Detail, Steps. Edinburgh. ISO 10,000. Handheld. 13. Bamburgh Castle, lit by the December 17 Supermoon. Passed here in between venues, and couldn't resist stopping off. I love each and every one of these; they are all atmospheric, technically expert and a joy to view. In particular I like your take on the dark side of Edinburgh.

Stunning photograpy, once again. I have a personal preference for what I'd consider the more intimate shots (4, 8, 10), but you certainly have the Night Time Thing going!
