The two people on the left have no shadows? Tanzania. Sun directly overhead? Equator?

It was taken around midday so there wouldn't be much in the way of shadows.......but that's not it

I see what you mean. But on my tablet all 4 people have that funny outline. Might have been an empty beach.

Just having another look and I think it might be that the sea in the top of the pic shouldn't be there?

Well spotted Derek.
I was just playing around with Photoshop and wondered if anyone would notice.
I think I made them a little too small.
I took the shot as I liked the shape and patterns of the sand bank
