I remember using those United buses (in pic #2) while they were still in service during the 50's & 60's while on my summer holidays here (summers, remember them?) Used on the North Bay to the Station route 103. Where did you find that one in your photo as I'd like to go and take a look if it might still be there?

PS Does anyone know if any of the old 'Marine Drive' buses are still in existence? - They were a bit like the Blackpool Coronation trams, single decker with a centre door. (There's a pic of the tram here link)

That old United bus keeps popping up at events in the North East. I saw it a couple of years ago at the Morpeth Fair and I'm sure I've seen it at Durham. I don't know who owns it or where it's based.
