I posted a similar question earlier in the year about an old Miranda 450CD flashgun that I've had for 50 years !
You need to check the trigger voltage and MORE IMPORTANTLY the POLARITY !
I was given the followinh link, which is very helpful. If your Flash is not listed just click on the link about measuring the trigger voltage yourself (it is very easy)
http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html
I found that whilst the trigger voltage on my flash was OK it was REVERSE POLARITY !
I have therefore not used mine !
Good luck
Peter

Cactus V4 and V5 triggers will handle portable and studio strobes up to 300V (http://www.cactus-image.com/).
I have some cactus v4's I used with vivitar 283's (one of which is over 200V) they work fine. I've heard the cactus V5s are better.
^Everything he just said^ The cactus V5's act as a 'safe-sync' between flash and camera and the V4 receivers will handle old flashes with high voltages just fine...Cactus V4 and V5 triggers will handle portable and studio strobes up to 300V (http://www.cactus-image.com/).

To the OP... What triggers are you running? Should be able to get info on yongnuo (or any other brand) triggers on flickr-strobist group-forums fairly easily
