Ihave been a user of pentax cameras now for quite a while, after falling out of love with canon, when the fd lenses finished in favor of newer lenses,Ilove my pentax ,yes only a k100d ,but its both won me competitions and had loads of images published in photo-mags ,and Ican use ordinary AA batterys when Im out in the field,Ive even started to collect older cameras ,starting with a mint sp 500 and standard 55mm f2 takumar ,lovely solid bit of kit, pity though it cant some-how be converted to take digital images.if anyone knows how let me know.

Welcome to the forum John!

There is no way of adding a "digital back" to any SLR. Digital requires a huge amount of electronics, control mechanisms, and a battery - the whole thing would be huge and unwieldy!

But there is a way of sorts...

Buy a film scanner, shoot film and scan it!
