Four, five, or six.

If the 2 ducks in front of a duck are the same 2 ducks as those behind a duck, the answer is 4.

If the same duck has 2 ducks in front and another 2 behind, the answer is 5.

If the 2 ducks in front of a duck are different ducks to the 2 ducks behind a duck, and the duck that has 2 ducks in front is a different duck to the duck that has 2 ducks behind, the answer is 6.

The holes are there to let the butter in, silly. Or, more accurately, the crumpet is there to hold the holes together.

I don't shop at Tesco's so I can't answer the second part of your question.

No it isn't. It can't be. You can't have 2 ducks being both in front of, and behind one other duck. It can't happen.

Try this then (you've probably come across this before but I like it).

Three people go to a restaurant and order a meal. They eat and enjoy the meal and ask the waiter for their bill.

The bill is £10.00 each, totalling £30.00.

Just as they are about to leave, the waiter admits to having made a mistake by adding a bottle of wine costing £5.00 to their bill, which they did not order.

The three agree to take £1.00 each as a refund and reward the waiter's honesty by allowing him to keep the remaining £2.00.

Now, if they each paid £10.00 initially, and received a refund of £1.00, they paid £9.00 each. 3 X £9.00 = £27.00, add to that the £2.00 kept by the waiter as his reward and that accounts for £29.00.

You can see where this is going now, where is the other £1.00 from their initial payment?

Yes it can.

Look at these faces

2 roll faces behind the lol face. total 3
1 lol face and 1 roll face infront of a roll face = 3 faces

Got it.

PS the faces are the ducks because there are not ducks in the smilie folder.

The end price was £30 minus the bottle of wine £5 = £25 and the waiter gets £2 so that makes a total of £27

My first is "E", My last is "E", and there is only one letter inside.

Fortunately, the holes are confined to the crumpets, not the ducks. If the ducks had holes thay would sink.

If the ducks were placed in a lead lined container it would be impossible to tell which was in front of the others. Schroedinger was uncertain about this.

If jam made from strawberries is called strawberry jam, and jam made from raspberries is called raspberry jam, then why is jam made from oranges called marmalade?

Cleaned my pond filters today and found more holes in the foams than the Crumpet I have just eaten.

Don't tell that to the people who make rubber rings.

Take the lid off.

I don't know. Why is jam made from oranges called marmalade? In spain, all fruit 'jams' are called marmalade.

Marmelada is the Portuguese word derived from marmelo, quince, describing a quince conserve, so in fact, no preserve other than Quince, can be correctly called Marmalade.

Tesco crumpets have more holes in, it keeps the price down, makes you buy more butter to fill the holes and boosts profit!

As for lead in ducks, my grandfather had a device to do that!
Cheers, HG
