Well I finally got a half decent pic of a Nuthatch, spent about 3.5 hours at Forge Valley today link before calling it a day and continuing on to my B&B in Scarborough.

This has been edited on my laptop which I dont rate for post processing so it might not be quite up to scratch, quick adjustment to levels, cropping resizing and sharpening. voila! one Nuthatch

Nice shot, may be a little soft around the eye though?
C&C welcome.

Your right that's a decent shot...On what can be a difficult subject. Completely wild, and in it's own enviroment.

Lovely shot! Being picky, I'd perhaps crop it to get rid of the bright bits top right and botton left.

I must get round to trying to photograph birds....

Nice shot

It always annoys me when such a small bird is next to coarsely grained bark it just seems to make the bird look less detailed than it is to me, perhaps it's a sort of fine feather/ coarse bark contrast - or at least that's the way I see it.

Nothing wrong with the photo as far as I see it - on my newly devised 'I wish I had taken it' scale it certainly gets a 3 out of 5

Cheers

Thanks for the comments chaps, yes it needs some work but I did say I'd edited it on the laptop.

Got a few others from the day that may also be worth saving, and with a bit of luck some competition or possibly even PPG material.

Not had time to give then a really good scrutinise, I've been going through the Goth stuff in anticipation of the onslaught of emails requesting pics
