Try Xara 3D. I also recall seeing somewhere that foliopic were offering a free web design program. Google them, and see if that's what you are looking for.

Dreamweaver isn't difficult or involved at a level for coding HTML, PHP etc.
Takes about 5 minutes to set up the FTP link to your site and a mirror site on your local drive.
I Use dreamweaver for my forum Smeggy's. if I want to create a page I just create a new empty file, write the code and hit CTRL-S tosave and it's auto uploaded to the site. Similarly for editing an existing page or file... open it make changes and save. Done.
the hard bit is learning the code
Xara 3D ??? Isn't that a 3D graphics program??

Ooops!!.. I'm not clued up on web design, or creating your own site. I see names such as Zara, Dreamweaver, etc - I take a look, then get bamboozled by it all!!
At a push, I could probably design a front page, but hyperlinking and all that other techy stuff I'll leave to others. I'm only now getting to grips with excel spreadsheets, and only because I'm forced to in my job!!
Sorreeeeeeeee!!

I use weebly - it's an all in one deal - no webspace needed so it's also 100% free.
Everything is drag and drop - very easy to use.

Foliopic is great - I use this as do many others on this website (Shaun Wilson (Puma), David Morgan(Pianoman).

Thing is, I use Virgin and there is a fair amout of free web space, on which I did put a Noddy few pages. I'd just like not to use yet another service and have a bit of control. This happened with my Apple gallery, which is now just a hundred image files that the (at least) put on my machine. But I had copies of these anyway.
I found that I have iweb on my iMac, which does what I want to an extent at no more cost.

Hmm. Iweb can be used on any webspace with ftp access but there is a lot that it won't do when it's part of me.com. Probably no real use to me. Shame

I know that many photographers have their own websites and I suspect that many of you design your own. I should like to know what web-building tools people use. I really don't want to get to grips with Dreamweaver or the like because that involves a big investment of time and effort. There must be a huge range of suitable, less exotic tools and I'd be interested in what other PU members use. I have an imac and would rather not use web-based development tools because they are a lot less zippy.
Usual apologies if this question has already been answered recently (I did try a search) but the situation may have changed since it was answered last, in any case.
