Out for a bit of fresh but foggy air on Boxing Day but didn't get too far before hitting an incredible display of mist and sunlight! K3 + DA 16-85. Hope this post is not too excessive - couldn't resist!

Lovely set some real beauties in there! Purely for its minimalism 10 is great, also really like 3,4 and 5 too.

Sometimes you get lucky and you certainly did on that walk. An excellent and varied set. 10 stands out for its minimalism, 3 for the mystery of what lurks in the fog, 1 for the feeling of approaching menace as the mist comes over the ridge, 8 for that light on the fence, ... OK, I'd be happy to have taken any and all of them. Strange thing, though, I'd have guessed autumn rather than winter if it wasn't for the lack of leaves on trees.

2 and 3 for me - and, of course, the minimalism of 10. Nice set.

Great set of pictures. For me 1,2,and 3 stand out. I can see where others are coming from about image 10 but not the strongest of the set for me.

Thanks for all the lovely comments - interesting variety of choices for pick of the bunch! I personally like no. 4 for the hint of mist, the warm colours , the sunlight and the long shadows.

Happy New Year to all!

I know it's natural for us to choose favourite images when presented with a set but with your little collections I find myself enjoying your walks and the views you've decided to share with us and if I was choosing I'd agree with you on no.4 - less contrasty but like the composition, the warmth and the shadows
