Absolutely lovely set.
If you go round that area, call in at the George Hotel in Chollerford. They have (or had) a whole collection of Ansell Adams prints of Hadrians Wall and surrounding area in the snow.

Lovely set Gary. As above b&w suits them. The last one is 'just right' IMO (meaning I can't my finger on why I like it so much!)

The choice of B&W for processing is spot on for these (IMO), the final shot I like in particular - not sure if you've "de-fished" it but you've made it look so natural

All comments appreciated. WRT the last image, no de-fished process. Camera held to keep vertical and horizontal planes centred.
The 17-28 FE is a very useful lens and I've always thought it was under rated when it was available..
Best regards

First clear vista from the approach path. (43mm Ltd)
As you walk down from the West (31mm Ltd)
Looking back to the West (17-28mm FE)
It's a good old hike around this area. Had lunch in the Twice Brewed Inn.
Now need to return when the leaves are there.
